When Compassion Crosses Borders: William R. Nash Supports Venezuelan Earthquake Relief Efforts

We often say that our greatest strength is our people. Sometimes that strength is demonstrated on a job site through teamwork and expertise. Other times, it is shown through compassion.

Following the devastating earthquake that impacted communities throughout Venezuela, one of our own team members, Assistant Project Manager Ernesto Villaroel, felt a personal calling to help those whose lives had been forever changed

With family, friends, and fellow Venezuelans affected by the disaster, Ernesto knew he couldn't stand by without taking action. When he shared his vision of organizing relief efforts, the William R. Nash family immediately came together to help turn that vision into reality.

A Company United for a Greater Purpose

What began as one employee's desire to make a difference quickly became a company-wide effort.

To support the relief mission, William R. Nash donated six pallet jacks to help collect, organize, and transport supplies. Individuals from across the organization came together to contribute cases of bottled water, gently used clothing, and other essential goods destined for families affected by the earthquake.

The response from our team reflected something that has always been part of our culture: when someone in the William R. Nash family is hurting, we come together to help. In this case, that support extended beyond our workplace, reaching communities thousands of miles away through the compassion and generosity of our employee-owners.

More Than a Donation

Construction is about building strong foundations, but our responsibility doesn't end there.

We believe strong communities are built through compassion, generosity, and people who are willing to help when it matters most. While this effort reached far beyond the communities where we work every day, it reflected the same values that guide us: caring for others, working together, and making a meaningful difference wherever we can.

Seeing our team come together to support a cause so deeply personal to one of our teammates was a powerful reminder that kindness has no borders.

A Message of Gratitude

Following the collection effort, Ernesto shared a heartfelt message with the William R. Nash family.

On behalf of all Venezuelans affected by the recent earthquake, and on my own behalf, I would like to express our deepest and most sincere gratitude for the generous donation made by the company, as well as for the solidarity and commitment shown by each of my colleagues, who, with a genuine desire to serve, contributed to helping those who are now facing one of the most difficult trials of their lives. Your generosity represents far more than material assistance; it is a message of hope, fellowship, and love for others. In the midst of pain and uncertainty, you have shown that solidarity knows no borders and that a single act of kindness can bring relief to thousands of people. As a Venezuelan and as a proud member of the William R. Nash family, I feel deeply grateful and honored to work alongside individuals and a company that turn compassion and social responsibility into reality. May God abundantly bless William R. Nash, its leadership, and each of my colleagues for their noble hearts. I am convinced that all this generosity will return to you multiplied in blessings for you and your families. With immense gratitude and respect, Ernesto Villaroel Assistant Project Manager

Building Hope Together

The supplies collected through this initiative represent far more than boxes on a truck. They represent hope, compassion, and the willingness of people to stand beside one another during life's most difficult moments.

We are incredibly proud of Ernesto for leading this effort and grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, or helped make this relief mission possible.

Together, we were reminded that while our work may build hospitals, schools, and commercial buildings, the greatest thing we can build is a community that cares for one another.
