As Employee Ownership Month unfolds, Allison Ward reflects on a five-year journey that transformed her professional life. Her story isn’t just about career advancement—it’s about

discovering an unexpected path in an industry she never imagined entering.


AN UNEXPECTED TURN

Five years ago, Allison found herself at a career crossroads. She had left a position that offered little room for growth, minimal advancement opportunities, and no salary increases. It wasn’t an easy decision to leave the familiar behind, but she knew something more fulfilling awaited her.

That same day, during a visit with a good friend, Allison learned about an opening at William R. Nash. As her friend described the industry and the potential for growth, Allison expressed hesitation about her lack of experience in HVAC or plumbing. Her friend’s reassurance was simple: with determination, she could learn everything she needed to know.



TAKING THE LEAP

The very next day, Allison applied for an entry-level field coordinator position. After being hired, she trained under the same friend who had introduced her to the company. This mentorship proved invaluable when he soon after introduced her to the Assistant Project Manager Program, describing it as “a 5-year training to a career that will last a lifetime.” Allison requested to join the program, received approval, and embraced the new direction wholeheartedly. What followed was a period of growth unlike anything she had experienced before, doing things she never thought possible.

What stands out most to Allison about working at William R. Nash is that each day brings new knowledge and experiences. She thrives in this environment, surrounded by colleagues who share her enthusiasm for continuous improvement and professional excellence.


“There isn’t a single person in this company that does not learn something new that they did not know yesterday,”

Allison notes, observing how everyone evolves alongside industry advancements and technological developments.
